Hello, there...

I'm Prashant Basawa, a Software Developer based in Atlanta, GA, specializing in cloud-based enterprise applications built with Java.

I got hooked on coding in college and never looked back. After earning my degree in Electronics & Communication from Karnataka University, I pivoted toward Java just as it was emerging as the language to watch — and started my professional career in 2000 at Syntel Inc. Since then, I've spent over 25 years designing and building software across IBM, Wipro, and several enterprise clients, working on everything from large-scale transportation logistics systems to IRS e-filing platforms.

I care deeply about writing clean, reliable code and staying current with new technology — I'm as comfortable modernizing a legacy system as I am adopting a new framework. I still believe there's always more to learn, and that's what keeps the work interesting after two and a half decades.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me watching a good TV series or a live sports game, or out with my DSLR chasing a decent photograph.

I worked with Prashant for several years while I was a Senior Project Manager and Delivery Project Executive with IBM Global Services. During our time together supporting North America's largest car-haul and vehicle logistics transportation industry client, Prashant served as a Senior Web Developer and Team Leader for both the onshore and offshore development teams. Prashant was a subject matter expert in both industry domain knowledge and web development technologies (Java/J2EE). He demonstrated strong client facing skills that enabled him to take a senior lead role in full SDLC web application projects that were large, complex and critical to our client's business operation.
